Portability and performance — small footprint and power

Equipped with powerful multi-core, multi-threaded network processors, Novus ONE PLUS uses the Keysight next-generation architecture designed to meet high-throughput testing needs. Due to its compact form-factor and reduced power requirements, the Novus ONE PLUS is a great option for customers who need high-performance testing yet are constrained by space and power availability in their lab.

A single Novus ONE PLUS allows emulation of up to 160Gbps of stateless application traffic and 20 Gbps of stateful application traffic. The system uses inline Ffield Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) for enhanced accuracy pertaining to latency measurements, with a resolution of up to 2.5ns to deliver linerate performance, including small 64-byte packets.

• High scale and performance for emulating L2/3 protocols to validate performance and scalability of routing/switching and data center test cases by using Keysight’s IxNetwork application

The NOVUS ONE PLUS Tester is suitable for the following scenarios:
1. Automotive Ethernet R&D and Verification
       •  Automotive Ethernet Protocol Testing: Supports verification of the AVB/TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking) protocol stack, including precise traffic scheduling (based on IEEE 802.1Qbv) and time synchronization (based on IEEE 802.1AS-2020). For example, it ensures low-latency transmission of audio-video bridging (AVB) and control data in automotive networks.
       •  In-Vehicle Network Performance Evaluation: Capable of simulating mixed traffic in complex automotive environments (e.g., 100BASE-T1, 1000BASE-T1), verifying switch forwarding performance and immunity to interference across multi-rate ports (10GE/1GE/100M).

2. Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) Performance Validation
       •  Time-Aware Shaper (TAS) Performance Testing: Validates compliance with time windows and jitter control capabilities of network devices (e.g., Hoox RELY-TSN switches) by configuring IEEE 802.1Qbv, ensuring conflict-free transmission of high-priority data within scheduled time slots.
       •  Multi-Protocol Synchronization and Interoperability Testing: Supports configuration and validation of IEEE 802.1AS-2020 time synchronization protocol, ensuring nanosecond-level synchronization accuracy between network nodes. Suitable for distributed control systems and industrial IoT applications.

3. High-Speed Network Equipment Stress Testing
       •  ASIC/FPGA Validation: Provides line-rate traffic generation (up to 10 Gbps) and protocol emulation capabilities to validate chip design (e.g., switching ASICs) and hardware architecture performance limits. Also supports benchmarking of throughput, latency, and scalability for data center switches.
       •  Multi-Rate Mixed Environment Testing: Supports hybrid networking over copper (RJ-45) and fiber (SFP) media, enabling simultaneous testing of compatibility across ports of different speeds (10GE/5GE/2.5GE/1GE/100M), reducing testing costs in multi-device environments.

4. Portable High-Density Test Environment Setup
