3657 Series Vector Network Analyzer

Product Overview

The 3657 Series Vector Network Analyzer is widely used in wireless communications, CATV (cable television), education, and automotive electronics for performance measurement of RF components such as filters, amplifiers, antennas, cables, and CATV splitters. The instrument runs on the Windows operating system and features error calibration, time domain analysis, fixture simulation, automatic fixture removal, and advanced time domain analysis functions. It supports multiple display formats including logarithmic amplitude, linear amplitude, impedance, standing wave ratio (SWR), phase, group delay, Smith chart, and polar coordinates. The analyzer offers multi-channel and multi-window display capabilities, and is equipped with USB, LAN, HDMI, and DisplayPort (DP) interfaces. It enables fast and accurate measurement of S-parameter magnitude, phase, and group delay characteristics of devices under test (DUTs), along with efficient and robust error correction capabilities.

Key Features

Wide Dynamic Range

With a dynamic range of up to 140dB (IFBW=10Hz), it enables precise measurement of high-rejection-ratio devices.

Ultra-fast Sweep Speed

With a test speed of 4μs/point, it offers a significant improvement over the previous generation. This enhances measurement response speed and improves testing efficiency in applications such as high-speed cable testing, chip production line testing, and filter tuning.

Signal Integrity Quick Analysis

The analyzer features virtual eye diagram generation and analysis based on network parameters. According to different high-speed digital communication standards, predefined eye diagram templates can be used for efficient Pass/Fail testing. Users can apply disturbances such as jitter and noise to the simulated eye diagram, and incorporate correction algorithms such as pre-emphasis and equalization to simulate eye diagrams at various positions along a high-speed link under real-world conditions.

Both rack-mount (2U) and desktop (5U) are available

The rack-mount version is ideal for automated testing, system integration, and unmanned factory applications.
The desktop model is better suited for traditional usage scenarios and user habits.

Four-Port Model Available

With a single connection, it enables measurement of all 16 S-parameters of a four-port network, and supports balanced parameter measurements.

Powerful Data Analysis Capabilities

It offers various analysis functions such as limit testing, ripple testing, bandwidth testing, and automatic filter statistics, making it easier for users to perform pass/fail judgments and improving overall test efficiency.
