The 9951A/Y Lightwave Testing Platform is a modular, multi-channel test instrument developed for users in the optoelectronic industry. The mainframe is available with either 8 or 18 module slots, allowing users to freely select and install different modules such as optical power meters, optical attenuators, optical switches, and optical polarization scramblers, to perform functions including optical power measurement, optical power attenuation, optical path switching, and polarization scrambling. These modules are hot-swappable and interchangeable, enabling rapid setup of customized test systems.
The platform is equipped with rich external communication interfaces, including LAN, RS232C, and USB. The LAN interface supports up to 64 client devices simultaneously, meeting various requirements for remote control and data communication. Combined with a wide range of high-performance optoelectronic measurement modules, the 9951A/Y Optical Wave Testing Platform offers a flexible, efficient, and reliable solution for testing tasks. It is widely used in the research, development, and production of optical passive components, optical active devices, optical modules, and optical assemblies, helping users improve test efficiency and reduce testing costs.

The optical power meter module operates within a wavelength range of 800nm to 1700nm, and has been calibrated across the entire wavelength band. By using different types of optical power meter modules, the system can achieve optical power measurement over a wide dynamic range of -80dBm to +26dBm. |
Optical Attenuator Function |
The optical attenuator module offers both single-mode and multi-mode test configurations, enabling precise control of optical power attenuation. It supports a wide attenuation range from 0 dB to 65 dB, making it suitable for various optical testing applications. |

Optical Polarization Scrambler Function |
The optical polarization scrambler module can randomize the polarization state of light, ensuring that the scrambled polarization uniformly covers the entire Poincaré sphere. After scrambling, the degree of polarization (DOP) is ≤ 5%. |
Remote Control Function |
The mainframe platform is equipped with two programmable control interfaces: an Ethernet port and a serial port (RS232, available on the 9951A model only), providing a command set for remote control. |
Multi-Client Access Function |
